Sabbath Story Adventure

If you’ve ever wondered, “What can my kids do during Sabbath hours that’s fun, peaceful, and still meaningful?” — you are not alone.

Sabbath is such a gift, but keeping little ones engaged can sometimes feel like a challenge. Kids naturally want to move, explore, and play… and honestly, that’s not a bad thing! The goal isn’t to keep them perfectly still — it’s to help them learn to love and treasure the Sabbath hours.

That’s exactly why I’m so excited to share a new song: Sabbath Story Adventure. This song was created to inspire children to enjoy Sabbath in a joyful, kid-friendly way—through imagination, movement, and Bible-centered fun. This music video is meant to spark ideas and give kids a starting point for Sabbath fun. It’s lighthearted, wholesome, and encourages children to step into a Bible-time “adventure” using their imagination.

Why Pretend Play Is a Sabbath Superpower

One of the sweetest ways kids learn is through pretend play. When children act out Bible stories, they aren’t just “playing”… they’re actually:

  • remembering what they heard
  • connecting with the story emotionally
  • practicing kindness, courage, and faith
  • building a deeper love for Jesus

But here’s the truth: pretend play can be hard at first, especially for kids who aren’t used to it.

Some children need time to warm up. They might feel unsure, awkward, or not know what to do. That’s totally normal! With a little practice and encouragement, pretend play can become one of their favorite things—especially on Sabbath afternoons when the day feels long.

The key is to make it easy to start and fun to continue.
